Just Chill Guys,
I am EB3, and i know we EB3 are screwed , and EB2 are luckier than us.
There is no need to fight,
If we dont get the GC , we can go back home(for me home is india) .... believe me home is not so bad( even after the blasts) Just enjoy your time here, live for the moment.
I work for an employer , whom i value more than EB2 , so i dont want to port to EB2(Even when i filed for EB3 , i was eligible for EB2 , But my lawyers assistant , just wanted to play safe) Everyone has his own preferences.
I think this is a post , for the EB3 to crib , and talk (humans feel good after doing that) so let us do that.

No I did not...the date before it was of back in 2008.
My PD is Jan-17-2006 at NSC.
I got another soft LUD today but no change to my 485 status.
What does this mean ? I already got my approved EAD card 2 weeks back and the only thing pending is the 485 application.

Try to call them or you may write a letter to them. I really hope and pray you get your EAD card soon. I also had applied in June and received few days ago. Good Luck.
I filed on June 18th (RD) and I am still waiting...current one Expires in 3 weeks. Any suggestion what I should do.

I applied 485 on July2nd 2007, we never got the FP notice, I called up the USCIS inquiry number, opened two service requests, nothing happened. My lawyer sent a letter asking USCIS to look at our case, that was ignored as well. We finally got an Infopass appointment and went to the office today, after a little bit of confusion, we were told that the most likely cause was that we sent pictures along with our EAD applications and that confused CIS procedures and they missed sending us FP notices.
Cant believe this crappy explanation, but this is what we were told. We were told that usually they call people in for FP and take the pictures and then process the EADs. Anyway, it took all of ten minutes to figure this out and issue us an FP notice, there is no reason they couldnt have done this over the phone...
Good thing though is that not having the FP done does not stop then from processing the Name check and infact my wife's name check has been completed..

Current status Applied for AOS, have AP & H1B approved till 2009
I've travelled twice using AP in the last 6 months (to countries other than Canada), CBP never asked me any questions, I think I will take the chance...

<Rant>There is not mistake, i always feel that there is some @#$hole at the USCIS or state dept whose only goal in life is to get a sadistic kick by toying with the dates. How can these @#$@#@'s not realize that there is a person behind each visa number </Rant>
Like my title says - Could it be a mistake on their part for EB3 I ? Was it meant to be 15th April 2002 ?
In March of This year it was 15th Oct 2001. Then it goes to U for untli Oct and now its 15th April 2001 (gone back 6 months !!!!) This seems odd for a new fiscal year with new Visa Quota however small EB3I may be - are there still that many 2000-2001 applications pre-adjudicated in the system waiting for a visa that they had to roll it back ?

and which state did you apply from ? Looks like there is some relation to where it is processed (If your I-140 was not already approved before the USCIS bispec III...see my message before )
My lawyer sent the applications on June 1st and we have the receipts already. They cashed the checks by June 6th.

I am driving from Los Angeles to Bay Area on Friday (13th) evening to join the protest. I can accomodate 3 people to join the protest. You will have to find your own accomodation. Only those who are seriously interested in going for the Immigration Rally will be given a ride. I will be leaving from Pasadena, CA around 7 pm. Finally we have decided to go back to India for good. I filed my EB3 in May 2003. Its going to be another 4 years to get the green card. When I went to India for vacation last December, we liked it over there & the economy is booming. There are all sorts of discussion regarding the Economic Gap/Politics/Corruption/Cleanliness. But we like it over there. Finally I will have an option to do something interesting. In US I was very much dependent on my monthly pay check and afraid to take even the slightest risk. I am also scared to use the AC21(Hey, thats the way I am). I am working with the same company for last 10 years, kinda stagnant in the last 4 years. In India, there are lots of choices, either to work for a sw company or start some business on my own. I think I will take the business route.
May be I can go there, earn well, send my son to US for college, do green card through him & come retire in US!!!

Living in USA really does not matter, as long as you are able to achieve them in any place.
